Can any of you imagine Gregory pulling an all conference, black LB from Alabama? This is a good sign for Inge moving forward.
What’s the connection? He’s from Alabama and he’s a star in the ACC. Why UW?
you dont need connections in recruiting. Stop letting Lake/Pete cop out shit effect you
I mean, it’s a legit question. Pitt’s good, UW sucks, and Seattle is practically Russia for a kid from the South.
and we got him.
good recruiters don’t need “connections” hth.
We just landed an All-ACC LB, who captained his ACC championship team and is from Alabama. Clearly, Morgan knew him and we're paying him. Thank god!
He has a kid, he’s definitely getting paid
Does he play inside for more depth where we’re thin or outside in the new defense?

He aint depth, hes starting wherever they put him.

Pretty sure he's playing inside. The slot/hybrid (Husky?) position would be the other possibility since he's kind of in between safety and LB weight and runs like a safety. He's not a big LB and the new defense doesn't use small outside linebackers if I understand correctly.
Money well spent. This was the most important position to add a good player or two, aside from quarterback.

In the new 4-2-5 defense the 5th DB which has been a smaller nickel (Budda, Molden, Bookie) in the PK/JL defense is replaced by the bigger "Husky" position which is more of a safety/WLB hybrid. Shaq would have been perfect for this role.
For this upcoming season, It's not clear to me if Bright and the JC transfer Demario King will play Husky or MLB. FWIW, King is listed as a LB on the GoHuskies roster while Dom (who's been rumored to be in the Husky role too) is still listed as a DB.

Dom/Cov/Asa battle at husky. Dom will win that. Cov to safety.

I figured Cov would play outside corner. Here's my best guess at the 2 deeps on defense:
DL: Tuli/Bandes
DL: Voi/Ngalu
DL: Tuitele/Peihopa
EDGE: ZTF/Trice
LB: Bright/Bruener
LB: Ulofoshio/Heimuli
HUSKY: Dom/King
CB: Covington/Powell
CB: Perryman/Jackson
S: Cook/Irvin
S: Cam/Esteen

You forgot Spam Chancellor so obviously this is crap. Where does Smalls see the field? Behind Trice?
I found out today he fought his own teammate at the peach bowl. He's #38.
