Caitlin Clark vs Kelsey Plum

A goofy little dude in his 50s that works for me has been talking about Clark a lot. That's the only reason I know about her.

He's a kite boarder and mountain biker type who drives a Prius and complains when he burns a gallon of gas. Never played organized sports and probably shoots a basketball granny style. He knows all about her though and was watching the womens' tournament.

Hey buddy I'm not threatening to pull anyone's man card or anything. Even he's a good dude hence employing him for 13 or 14 years and counting.
I think that demographic is helping fuel a bit of a surge in interest in women's sports or at least hoops though. I'm not sure why it's now and not 10 years ago but it seems to be a thing.

I've never seen a girl be able to hit off balance off the dribble 3s from as deep as she does. That's the reason for the interest, she's doing things no other women has really done before.

The B1G seems to collectively cheer for lame as fuck teams like Iowa in the same way that the Pac 12 collectively fluffed Utah and Beavlet. Fuck it all.

I do not condone this Utah slander. Wisconsin (of old) and Utah earned some of their accolades for their consistency. They are the same program. Gotta respect it a little bit. Beavis had spurts of decency. Utah won conference titles and has always been tough. Respect.

The only thing consistent about Utah is that they feasted off of the worst division in power 5 football which included historical shitshow down periods from the LA schools, Colorado with two of their worst hires ever, and the usual mediocrity/shittiniess that is the Arizona schools.
Same with Iowa and their annoying attention they get from being shitty on the side of the football that truly matters now.
I don't put either of them on the same level as Wisconsin. And Wisconsin hasn't been great besides the one orange bowl.

I agree. Clark is special with her court vision, dribble, quickness, and range. Imagine if she played for SC. She was far too good for her teammates. She's a total stud and could envision her hanging hard in the men's tournament this year. I'd take that point guard on my squad. I think she's a bigger talent than Plum.

I think she could hang. Maybe not on UConns squad. Consider some UW guard alternatives over the years though. At worst she's Ryan Appleby.

Utah is only above Iowa because despite being equally shitty at offense in terms of hiring/scheme, MWhestingham still has one more year of Captain Concussion and probably some 2* future all-american tight end for him to throw to.
