But how was Donovan a shitty OC?

UW's drive summary on Saturday after the initial 6 yard TD drive

-Started at own 25, 3 and out
-Started at own 45, 3 and out
-Started at own 43, 3 and out
-Started at own 40, INT
-Started at own 49, turnover on downs
-Started own 32, punt
-Started at own 25, 3 and out
-Started at own 45, 3 and out
-Started at own 7, 3 and out
-Started at own 25, touchdown
-Started at own 10, 3 and out

To summarize, we had three consecutive 3 and outs TWICE. Not including the first drive, we had 5 possessions that started at our own 40 or better and scored 0 points on those drives combined.

The crazy thing is despite how terrible of a coach Lake has been, if he even hired a slightly below average OC they would have easily won on Saturday and could be 8-1 at this point. But nope, he insisted on being the smartest guy in the room and intentionally hired the worse possible OC.

After the initial "drive" we had six drives starting at the 40 or better and got zero points out of them (never really even coming close.) Amazing.

Donovan's offense scores under 2 circumstances:

1. It's the first drive of the game

2. Game is over and it doesn't matter at that point

We wanted to hit most of our punts from around the 40, so mission accomplished there.

In a way, I'm glad for Donovan. He's exposed Lake earlier than he otherwise would have been and we can move on (or not - Hi Jen!)

Anyone with half a brain knew if UW rolled out the same offense we have seen so far they would lose. No Mcgrew in space, Mcgrew up the middle expecting him to be Barry Sanders. Script a series for Obrien or Huard. Anything! Give Oregon something to think about. Seeing that they didn't attempt any wrinkles tells you how fucking pathetic Jon Don was. Worst coordinator in college football history and the worst hire in college football history.

As Hugh Millen said, spend 20 minutes on google looking at his resume and not a single person would hire him. Hugh went unhinged about recruiting stars this morning. Pretty Funny. BTW, Chuck and Buck is horrifying radio programming. my lord.
