What of the few things that gave me enjoyment with the overall scene today was the ridiculousness of some of the Buckeye fans and what seems to happen when you become basically and NFL fanbase of a college team. What I'm talking about:
-Walking out of the tunnel at the end of the game and seeing a grown ass man in a Buckeye Telletuby costume passed out cold against the wall on the concourse
-Guy in my section doing Woody Hayes cosplay. Hat, glasses, tie, shirt. He also seemed to carry himself with this weird air of seriousness.
-The like 8 guys who were "Tophat" wearing like Buckeye top hates with different numbered jerseys like Tophat 1, 2, etc. I saw them walking around the parking lot well after the game still wearing their hates. None were under 50.
I am not envious of this shit.

If spirits exist, I wonder if the ghost of Gloomy Gil Dobie ever wanders around the tennis courts at UW. (Where Denny Field used to be from what I understand).

There was a Doorman poster name that I didn't know why I always chuckled at called GhostofGilDobieDawg - was that you?

I went on a little freak out on the reddit threads with all the retarded "Ohio" fans. God they make it hard for me to keep Oregon as the most hated team. Somehow they act like everyone "disrespects them". Midwest cougs with slightly worse colours and a better stadium

perfect summation of osu fans. Oregon has more than its fair share of cringy fans (Portland Timbers fc dads in receiver gloves and camo-wearing tactical gear bearded guys) compared to the average, but Ohio state was off the charts with the nfl superfan types. Apparently big nut charges people to take photos with him, too.

I spent sometime in the Varsity Club sports bar in Columbus after the 2003 loss. Was arguing with drunken sorority girls about Maurice Clarett. Strange vibes.

I think it was Buc-I-Man in the cowboy hat that was accused to charging for autographs. This faction of football fans is just ultra cringe to me.
By the way, I think I heard during Sunday Night Football that there was crowd noise from the Packers fans in the Cowboys Stadium. The horde of traveling fans shit is just becoming more and more of a thing.

I've said this several times but for me, the all timer was the Oregon couple my age that had elaborate dog catcher uniforms on, custom made, and sat in a street bubble thing outside of Big Time and glared at everyone that walked by.

I had a big Husky hardhat phase in my 20's which I've since outgrown. Now my 11 year old wears it to the games.

I'm going through a phase where the last 4+ years I've sat in completely different sections of the stadium, both cheap and expensive, and everybody around me annoys me to the point where I'm waiting for a seating option where you're just buried deep in a parking garage in a windowless room with a TV feed to the field, a hooker, some blow or private bar, and maybe a sleeping bag to crash out on so you can drive home the next day.
Probably get some large Tyee donations with an offering like that. "Rabies DaWg Kennel" or some branding.

Most of the Bucks around me were fine but I've noticed big shifts in a lot of the traveling fan types over the years. Outside of rivals it seemed to be more like people coming to visit your area/stadium, some fun light engagement maybe some joking and acknowledgement of your program but now it's more the "WE'RE TAKING OVER YOUR STADIUM" vibe and people are pretty standoffish, but that could just be people in general now.

Jesus. We make fun of women for making themselves up to look like a tropical bird and then grown ass men do this shit. Blech.

Who is the least annoying type of person for you?

The 35-45 year old that is successful enough to leave his wife and kids at home, comes to the stadium on business to do copious amounts of weed and alcohol, says nothing during the game and afterwards gets a few shitposts/shit thoughts in at Big Time and then passes out at a bum-riddled hotel in Northgate and then swears he'll never come back to Seattle again as he texts his wife to tee up his next stay for the Illinois/Rutgers game.
This married boomer couple annoying me so much this game. The wife was mad at me that I put my water in the left side cup holder because I'm left handed and just didn't think about it. Doesn't want me to stand ever. They just want to sit like we're watching a movie at OMSI.
This guy my age got up and left and I saw him with some other buddies on the other side of our section where they could actually stand without being hassled.

I've mentioned it before but rarely a game goes by now where there's not a shitfaced really hostile fan of the opposing team in our section and if we don't plunger their team quickly they run amok and it's getting really old. Then if it's a fanbase like Oregon, Ohio State, or Michigan you have lame chants and hand signals as soon as they are 110% sure they think they're going to win but other than that are just quiet and not fun. Both are tiring.
75% of the time someone also comes to our seats and gets prickly that we're in their seats when we've had the same season tickets for 30+ years and then when we prove it they still act like we're wrong. We've even had people around us chime in pointing out we've been there forever.
Other than that I'm bitchy about never getting to cheer for a defense that can make a fucking play on third and long anymore.
