Bryan Harsin

I would like to add it would be a disaster hire if Washington hired him. He is a terrible recruiter.

Always thought it was a bad hire by Auburn … I suspect all involved are now realizing that

Not easy to get these things right.

Last 3 hires at USC: Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian, Clay Helton

Last 3 hires at Texas: Charlie Strong, Tom Herman, Steve Sarkisian

In hindsight USC should have had more patience with Kiffin especially given the sanctions he was dealing with.

But that was back when they had high expectations.

Yeah usc would give their left nut now to get lane back

“Not sure many of you realize what a big get it is for UW to convince an SEC coach to come to Montlake. Jen really hit a homerun with this hire.”

If you uw hired Harsin that would be about the most limp dick thing they could do given the situation.

I stand by that statement until they exceed my expectations for how bad they can mess this up.

I wouldn't totally hate it. But that's entirely based on what's happening today and I have had a few.

I dealt with Harsin a lot when he was at Boise. First thing to know is he is incredibly bright. He learned a lot at BSU and fought some demons. He's a bright, articulate, charming, engaging guy who is also competitive as hell. He's appeared to put his demons behind him.

You're going to love Harsin. It will be interesting to see who he fills his staff with. Knowing the competitive nature of Harsin, I'm sure he negotiated a large assistant salary pool. If he gets Jeff Choate on staff, watch out. Choate is one of the best recruiters I've ever dealt with. He's currently with Texas.

Harsin's an outstanding recruiting and phenomenal working with QB's. He trusts his guys and has an edge. Guys love playing for him.

Washington didn't hit a home run with Harsin. They hit a grand slam.

Did y’all see Harsin with his face in his hands after the game? That guy wants out.
