Bruins Lose Time of Possession Battle as UCLA Continues Implosion under Mora

Over on dawgman they are combing through the statistics to build a case that UCLA/Mora aren't as good as the score suggests and that ASU would have easily won if the ball would have bounced a little differently. Mora is still enemy #1 over there because he outperformed our beloved Sark all the years he was at UCLA

Stats are for loosers.

UCLA won that game because they kicked ASU's asses in all three phases.

Loosers are losers who get plungered?

Re: stats. If you can't see that touchdowns > first downs, this bored cant' help you.

The most impressive part of the win is ASU might be pretty good. Their defense obviously has issues, but their offense is scary good, especially with Kelly at QB. They missed Kelly's running ability, although offense was obviously the least of their issues. Strong is a monster WR, Foster is a stud at RB, the freshman Ballage is a beast, and they have a couple more decent RB's and WR's.

If their defense can even be average, they will be a tough team. I don't see anyone in the conference stopping that offense. UCLA did what a good team does. They capitalized on ASU's mistakes and turned what could have been a great shootout into a blowout.

I'm not sure that ASU's backup QB wouldn't be our starter here. Anyone that thinks ASU is an easy win for UW is dreaming

You know, if it weren't for a few, or a dozen plays or so the game was really much closer than the score would seem to indicate. Some bad bounces and the game just got away from them there in the end.

ASU's defense is awful. Their were indications of that in previous games and we saw it last night. Sure, it could get better and be terrible or just bad but average is probably out of the question.

Kelly is the 2nd best QB in the conference and a huge loss for them. It also hurts them in the run game. Foster is great but not a between the tackles guy.

Kelly won't be 100% when they play us. Its a game we should win but who knows.

ASU is the Sark of college football schools. Overrated, haven't accomplished shit, think they are better than they are, have a better reputation than their accomplishments. Throw in the coeds and thats why Sark should be their coach.

Is that your Sark imitation?

Foster had what, 510 yards going into the game? So what does the Todder do but run him all of 9 times or whatever it was before garbage time. SarkFS=GrahamFS?

As challanged as the Ducks are with Helfrich I just don't see them making the same mistakes as ASU, and Mariota is another level beyond Bercovici and Kelly. We'll see, this should be Mora's best team and it certainly showed last night.

Tough to justify running the ball when you fall behind by 3 scores.

Sark's problem was he ever ran the ball to begin with, especially in the Polk era.

Well, that kind of was my point. Why pass the ball 62 times with the backup qb when you have a top-3 pac-12 running back? Does Kelly make that bad throw at the end of the half? UCLA is probably top-3 in the Pac, but ASU may not even be top 5 after going in ranked 15th in the nation.

Are you knew? Early season rankings. Lulz.

In the meantime is Chip still gay?

I want UCLA to win the national championship just so I can say that Kim Grinolds is the biggest faggotty fag that ever fagged a fag ($300,000).

I'm actually giving UCLA credit, hth. When's the last time Washington beat Tempe JC?
