Bruce Springsteen sucks

I remember my shitty musical taste phase. Oh wait - I've never had one.

Glad to find even more common ground. He was just on SIRIUSXM and I thought WTF? People like this shit?

I don’t think Bruce is god like many of his followers. I do think he had a pretty solid body of work from 1973 to 1987.

That said, he’s not in my list of artists of which I will die on a hill for.

Not much of a fan either. I don't dislike but have never bought, downloaded, or streamed anything by him and won't. I wouldn't generally change the station if he came on, but even that isn't certain.

I'm On Fire is a pretty good song. It used to be on my sex making list that I never actually made, right alongside side two of LZ IV.

The Elmer Fudd version of I'm on Fire is better

I remember when he was on the cover of Time and Newsweek when that mattered

We scoffed because rock n roll ain't on Time magazine man

Are you on coke?

He was on the cover of wristwatch and consumer news trade publications? What a sellout.

Tells us more about this corporate monster, grandpa.

Didn’t he pee on the flag for an album cover?

His rendition of Santa Clause is Coming to Town sounds like it was recorded while he grunted out a 3' log in an airport stall. Truly awful vocals.

Never got it either. You could get twenty random guys together and they would all say he’s overrated. Probably the best example of a band or artist that if Rolling Stone tells you they’re great it’s just assumed as a fact and no one questions it

Springsteen is pretty impressive when you think about how many iterations of himself have produced hits.

I hate his poppy disco rock bullshit, but he's cranked out some really great moody stuff like Atlantic City(one of my favorite songs), The River, I'm on fire, Thunder Road.

He's too self aware of his legendary status for any of his new stuff to hit home for me, watching a special of him mumbling about hard times in the Jersey bread lines as a Billionaire Rockstar who's wanted for nothing since the 70s loses its charm.
