Looks like Biggins followed through with what he said after seeing him in person and is now in the Top 100 and 8th QB overall.

He also Jumped USC's Ricky Town and Oregon's Waller in the QB rankings.

Not that it really matters, he could have dropped and been the exact same player on campus today, but this makes him the biggest QB recruit UW has inked since Locker.

If you go back and look, they really aren't. The top 15 generally has notable names with a few head scratchers. I think UW has really struck out an uncharacteristic amount, to the point where a big finger needs to be pointed at the system and development these guys are receiving.

Edit: I will note that 2010, 2011 classes (aka the guys mainly starting now) were complete dog shit, which probably ties in to your College Football being a complete dreckfest this past year.

According to the NFL, after Marriota and Winston, everyone is dog shit.

That's a top notch correlation that I should have made months ago.
 
I wonder how much of the QB's not developing has to do with the transfer culture going on specifically at the QB position. For years guys would come in and wait till around their 3rd or 4th year(with a RS) and then play 2-3 years. This day in age it seems like if a guy isn't starting by his 2nd year he's transferring. If a guy wins the job, everyone else bails.

Then that qb has to move to a new school and relearn a whole new program and fight their way up the ladder.

Is it more development based, or is it attitude based from the qb's?

That's a good question. It really is hard to say, but my guess it has to do with the giant NFL salaries being dangled over these kids since their first summer passing camp in 8th grade.

Today's athletes live in an AAU culture, are ranked, given free gear, and touted before accomplishing much. The system is made to churn out pre-madonnas who think they are demi-gods.

If they aren't starting by their redshirt frosh year or another guy the same age or younger is getting more reps it seems plausible their psyche might be affected.

I never blame the kids, we--the demand for recruiting info and subsequent camps--created this.
