Brian Kelly unemployed and so is Brian Kelly.

The LSU job may be high pressure but it's a place where I don't think you need to be real special to win and win big.
That Kelly left Notre Dame on the winds of a contrived narrative that it was just too tough a place to coach and needed the freedom of a big name program in the south that gives no shit about literacy, and then failed at said program miserably, is just the best cfb story of 2025.

Look no further than Ed Orgeron

Imagine Washington firing a coach who was 5-3…. LOL
Never in a million years

The power of a generational QB, elite WRs and a D line.

I bet Kelly faced the beginnings of a burnout at ND and thought a change of scenery might extend his shelf life much like Petersen described his last could years in Boise. Heading to LSU was ultimately about money and guaranteeing his future earnings win or lose while being paid a large buyout in case he failed. I imagine Chris Petersen had similar thoughts with genuine hopes of creating a spark while getting a bigger bag.

The difference is Brian Kelly seems like a terrible person unlike Brian Kelly
