Read a listicle (an article that is basically a list of top 20 yadda yadda) about cities with worst murder rate. South Bend was high on the list. From people who have been there indicate the college as being the only redeeming quality. It's Gary, IN with a nice school in it, keeping it relevant.
Congrats to Campbell for staying in the Midwest which is where he was going to be all along.
