It's really fucking simple. FSU edges shitty Notre dame at home. Asu, who until last weekend had never done shit for the greater conference, btw, buggers ND in the desert with a pitch fork. Finally.
Meanwhile, Oregon gets a top four ranking based upon being highly competitive for years as well as killing three "physical defenses," (no, UW is not one of them), while "looking good." The FS loss to Arizona is still to a team hanging around the CFP rankings.
Stomping three top defenses and losing to a ranked squad while suffering from key injuries > sliding by undefeated against a who's who of shit.
It's the math of the new CFB era,

Miami not going to be available. Golden will get at least another year, if not two. They are 6-3 with a true freshman QB and they have stayed out of trouble with Golden. That fan base doesn't demand anything. Did you mean Florida?
I don't think Graham is going anywhere in the near future. I don't know why he gets that rep. he left Tulsa to go to Pittsburgh. That's a better job at a higher level. Then he left Pittsburgh after a season to go to ASU. ASU is a better job and closer to where he is from.

You forgot where he left Rice after 1 year and after signing a contract extension. He's coached at 4 schools in 9 years and left two places after only one season. Maybe that makes him stay at ASU for a few more years. Florida would be really tough to turn down. That is a top 5 job.

The 500K doesn't mean anything if Florida comes along and doubles his salary. I think he likes ASU a lot and could stay another few years. But he's not the type of guy who is going to stay there for a while.
ASU should be a solid program based on the growing talent base in Arizona but they've won one major bowl game in the past 40 years. It's not viewed as a destination job. There are a lot of transplants in Arizona which makes the fan base apathetic and makes it more difficult to get kids to stay home.

Alabama among other teams ranked below you, would/will grudgefuck you and you know it.
The rankings aren't supposed to have anything to do with being "highly competitive for years". It's this year. And if people were taking into account past years, why did a FSU team that hasn't lost since 2012 get jumped?
A key injury is losing your QB or stud RB or WR, btw. If you shit the bed losing a key Olineman, it means you have no depth and don't belong among the top 2 if you lose.
Noone is really bitching about Oregon being in the top 4.
What people think is out and out corruption is Oregon being ranked #2.
