I like trout fishing in the Rockies on warm summer days with big fucking attracter patterns and working a hole from the bottom up. 16" - 22" Browns and Bows ain't no steelhead but catching dozens of 'em in one outing ain't too shabby either.

I like fishing the tail 1st at times as well, in gin clear water..however it depends on color, current dynamic and assholes with floats and jigs already being in your hole, the one you hiked a half mile to get to. It pisses me off, but still doesnt give me the right to low-hole another guy.

I used to pack heat. Some dude walks into a hole i hiked to, with 7 miles of similar water open , a quick vertical shot and point taken.

The dumbshit ODFW traps and tags them and then dumps them out at either Astoria or Newport if they're feeling real industrious. A few days later they're back upriver munchin on Steelhead again. There was a story on the local news last night about it. They still haven't grown a sack to do what needs to be done due to PETA and like organizations AND becausse TD Oregon!!!!.

However what they ARE proposing is draining Detroit reservoir and putting a cooling tower in it just behind the dam. Granted this is about 100 miles upstream Willamette Falls where the sea lions are doing the most damage. But they want tp control water temp downstream a few miles. This will kill the marinas, resorts and the whole town, cost over $200 million and has no precedent of working. As they did more or less the same thing at Lake Billy Chinook that yielded minimal at best results. And even if it does work, the run will be extinct anyway due to the Sea Lions.
