There's actually a woman named Sonia (I think), who sang the theme song to My Mister. Her dad was an American GI and her mom was Korean. Her dad abandoned the family when she was very young. She grew up being bullied and harassed for being mixed blood. But one thing led to another, and she has become a big music star in South Korea.
I was a little off, her name is Sondia.
