Wonder if he had to have surgery on whatever was hampering him? Or something new?

Yeah I assume it was the shoulder? injury he had that made him sit out the bowls

I heard they were saying on the doogman sight he might have gout again. Also could be a number of other things.

First watch of his film and holy shit. I'm a lot more excited than I was. I really didn't buy that he was the #1 guy in the class, but I think it's clear.

Just thinking about the lb/ edge depth a bit does give me some hope. There are some better athletes there than I thought of when I posted earlier. Tryon and Williams (edge) and Eiffler, Ngata (maybe edge?), and Wellington all have the size and quickness and are early enough in their careers to have hope for. Add Kaho and the other new guy that hits like a truck and there's no shortage of potential. Maybe things will be better in 2018 and 2019 than I was thinking.

We don’t need him at inside backer w/ Jackson and Tafisi. He’ll be outside rushing the passer. Interested to see if they plan to start Zion at BUCK now that we have Tuli/Taki/Draco and MN-L inside.

Exactly what I’ve been wondering. Will we? Have enough talent at MIL and WIL so Kaho can bring some heat.

Coach K will be his position coach and we know he handles outside backers (SAM & BUCK). I've seen Ale's weight range from 218-232 on TBS sites.. He's a legit 6'3. If he's closer to 232 once he's back from surgery then given his frame it makes the most sense to bulk him up to 245-250 and bring him off the edge. I think Zion would be better suited as a BUCK than DT. We don't need him in there now.

Signing announcement sizes are legit. He’s 6-1, 218.

Noted. Makes me think he's more of a SAM then. That said he's still got the frame to add good weight while retaining his speed. I've been advocating for a redshirt year and given that he just had shoulder surgery that seems even more likely. Really excited about what he brings to our LB core. Stud.

Yeah I believe he could play up to 240 pounds and keep the same speed and athleticism
