No, and it's not the same thing. Starting slow and being down 3-0 is one thing, but they just didn't show up. Evrryone knew it. I said in another thread, it's better to start out fast, put a team away, and coast. I'll take 14 garbage points against mostly backups versus 14 points versus the starters in the first half.
 
I look at the first half as the Sark stench still being in the program ... guys looked like all they had to do was show up and they'd coast to the win ... in particular the OL.

Watching the Pursuit video, Petersen emphasized the need to respect your opponents and the players very clearly didn't heed the warning this week.

I'm actually more satisfied with how we won this game. The more teaching points that we get on film and allows the coaches to continue to drill in the details of winning football, the better.
 
I'd rather the team face some adversity and then get their shit together at halftime, make adjustments, and kick ass in the second half than jump out to a big lead and then fuck off the rest of the game.

You just described how Seven treated those games ... and the way he treated them promoted bad habits and setting unrealistic expectations for his team.

The best way to describe a team with good coaching is to see how well they respond to adversity. Right now, the Huskies are batting 1.000 in that department.
