Both major parties want their politicians on the dumber side. They are easier to control that way. Bill Clinton slipped through the cracks in the 1990s and was uncontrollable because of his superior intelligence compared to halfwits like Biden and Ted Kennedy. The Whitewater investigation with Starr was to try and control him, yet he still ended up working with Newt Gingrich in ‘94, with Dick Morris as the go-between, and actually reformed welfare in a conservative manner. Likely guaranteed himself the second term.
Hillary, on the other hand, was a part of the Dem machine once she hit DC and now she is totally a UniParty shill. Bill, I think he still has that independent streak and actually likes Trump as a peer, so he rarely speaks out these days. When he does, it’s always been half-hearted criticism even if the words were ridiculous.
The UniParty hates Trump for the same reason. He’s smarter than the old GOP leadership and clowns them constantly. This, he must be removed and vilified as well.
