Boeing Apple Cup dates set for 2026, 2027 as UW and WSU continue historic rivalry

probably going to be the last two played, could be a once every four years thing, maybe.
There's also a home game scheduled in 2028, but that'll probably be the last one.
Looking at the 2029 and 2030 schedules, we have HAA with Tennessee, so unless the cuog only want to play in Seattle, UW won't renew

I still maintain that the coug game is a much better game than the likes of Eastern Michigan or even Boise. There's feeling to the game and the fans care. I could NOT care less about the them being greased up because history dictates that UW wins when they're good and loses when they're a mess. Great bellwether game

Also even if they do play in Pullman from time to time at least it's a game that you're able to cut down on travel

If that's the concern you? may as well just play Montana instead and get a guaranteed win.

The UW AD budget is built around 7 home games each year, so in years we go 5 away games in the B1G (even years), all 3 OOC need to be home
By doing a home-and-away with Tenn in 2029 and 2030, there is no room to go to Pullman

Montana helped fire Lake so I'm happy to give them more paydays and heat check our crappy coaches in the process

Home it is then. I just don't have done huge issue with ever playing there especially if it's in Sept once every 3-4 years or whatever

The Plummetting 737 Max Apple Bowl
Does make for a good discussion: Which will last longer, Boeing or the Apple Cup?
While Boeing is probably too big to fail, I would expect a bankruptcy or breakup before we have an interruption in the Apple Cup.

The leverage for wsu basically evaporated this year. They can play in Seattle or not at all.
If we? Can't beat a greased up div 2 cuog then TSIO anyways.
