Carothers was fucking awesome as a freshman in 2000 and sucked every year after. I can't think of another Husky who had that career progression as much as he did. I thought he was going to be the next in line of Lawyer-Parrish-Akbar and then he was a fat linebacker by the end of his career.

Nobody even knows schools like whitworth even play football unless they do a camp there in high school. But anyways, yeah cfb is dead!

Also, why then did he go to Illinois as a coordinator where he will assuredly have to grovel for teenagers again? 🤡

I know you are, as always, trying to be snide asshole. But cfb being broken has a ripple effect all down the line. Central is going to show a much great rate of flux and have even less stability that the big programs. D3 is probably just going to always be the rich kids' schools. Guys that are well off and can play some football can play there.

The Helena Hitman? I always thought he was pretty good. It wasn't like the '03 team was going anywhere regardless of who was playing. Gilby couldn't coach boy scouts to put up a tent.

Again cfb is so dead that he went straight into being a coordinator at a less than mid B1G school where he's going to have to grovel like hell to get talent.

He will get paid a lot more, doesn’t have head coach responsibilities, and won’t do too much groveling. Illinois will either pay their targeted guys or they won’t. Hauck will have very little to do with that.
