The “party switch” bullshit is an example of Dems not taking ownership of their extreme racist past.

If the Dem party was a statue, it would be torn down because of their racist (and misogynistic) past. Instead, they just say things switched in the late 1960s even though less than a handful of national politicians changed parties.

Hell, they named the Senate building after a former member and recruiter for the West Virginia KKK and practically worshipped the guy.
