For some reason having a well-covered ass looks better to me, as long as the fit is still tight. I always liked those tight-fitting short swimming shorts things that women (used to?) wear, too. Basically fit like boyshorts, but for swimming. Haven't seen them as much lately.

But, if I'm being honest...I think hot women look good in anything. And nothing.
