This is off the top of my head without Googling, like pup…
In 1993 we were down 24-3 to Cal and won 27-24
In 1979 we were down 17-0 to Oregon at Autzen and won 21-17
We were down 20 or 21 to Utah a few years ago and came back to win

Is that Oregon gayme the one where the punt was returned for a TD to win? How come we don’t see that play in repeat, non-stop?

@RaceBannon true?!

.

Mark Lee, 58-yard return with 1:58 left in the game

1993 vs cal

Just remembered that in 1988 we trailed Cal something like 25-3 at home and Cary Conklin led us back to win 28-25, I think

Wasn’t there an Oregon game in like 2002 or 2003 when the NW champions went down 14-0 but ultimately won like 42-14? Not necessarily a comeback but one of few times my natural pessimism toward this program incorrect.

I may have also left Husky Stadium 5 minutes before Reggie Williams stole a game from Arizona, so I’ll just go fuck myself.

because we aren’t gay as fuck

Maybe Maryland can become UW's next Cal.
There were 3-5 years almost in a row where UW would go down by a lot of points, then come back and win in the last few minutes.

As long as it’s 80’s and 90’s Cal and not 2003-2019 Cal. We always seemed to lose to those guysms.

Now that you mention it, we played Cal a couple weeks after 9/11 and I was there in Berkeley. Kyle Boller was Ca's QB. I can't remember exactly but the Bears were up something like 21-7 and UW won 31-28.

what is fun is once the team has done this they will know they can always come back

Or not

I was thinking how valuable the experience is for Demond
of that comeback list, I would expect soph QB on the road to be rare.
Good on him to fight it out, I thought they were hanging on a precipice for the season in the 3rd qtr, judging by body language etc. they are all rewriting their story now.

Texas was on TV at the same time, Demond and Arch were fluffed for 24mo. Interesting to watch in parallel. No amount of puff pieces can prepare you for a rude awakening on the road.

Damon Huard was a soph for the '93 Cal comeback

Damon led the Cal comeback in 93 and was well on his way to a comeback win at Eugene in 1994. All records of that game have been lost so no one knows if he did it
