but he is coming off an Achilles injury, he’s 35 and he isn’t exactly ultra mobile. The odds of him getting hurt are high. I wouldn’t be surprised if Penix plays significant time this season.

He’s not dumb, but is a big Michigan guy, and I kind of worked him up a little with my opinion of JJ…and, a couple of scotches…
 
Arthur Blank looked like he was chewing the gm’s ass right after the pick. This and the general feeling that ATL made a bad pick are enough for Penix to use as fuel to be successful.

He's tradeable right now salary cap wise. He may try and get out on his own.
