I guess Ideally you demand that China remote lands the thing in a cow pasture and you take custody, and then embarrass the shit out of the CCP but I guess we’re gonna let it just float around in our airspace and accept some ridiculous excuse/apology from Chinese communist state media.

We’d ideally want to preserve the tech and see whatever they’re spying on, though.

Tell them to land it. If they say no, evacuate the drop radius and blow it to dust.

I mean it’s a fucking balloon. This shouldn’t be that hard to address diplomatically or otherwise. Right now we essentially have a spying apparatus from our greatest geopolitical adversary that is being allowed to just float around in our sovereign airspace at an altitude that commercial jet liners fly at and we are doing what, exactly?

Biden needs to be in front of a microphone yesterday signalling publicly to China that they have 3 hrs to land it at specified coordinates or we’ll blow it out of the sky and then we’ll be at the table to discuss trade agreements in the coming months.

One thing you could say about Trump was that he was a decider. He decided he wanted Soleimani dead and it happened. I'm sure that the vast majority of the State Department was opposed along with every dem I can remember. Third World War was their concern. Funny that today, sending US tanks to Ukraine to kill Russians isn't a concern at all. Anyway, Bubba dicked around and he decided not to off OBL or take him into US custody. The dementia patient opposed taking out OBL in the Pakistan raid. Now, we are accepting a Chicom spy satellite drifting around in US airspace. Rather than send an immediate message that this wasn't to be accepted, we are sending another message that we are soft and indecisive.
