I think that was the original plan. But that plan was assuming decent approval numbers. They are going to try and cram through the budget stuff knowing they need a confirmed VP as the tiebreaker. Joe steps down and they for the moment have no tie break in the senate. He’s gone once that package goes through or fails.

I don’t think they want to show chinks in the armor. They will protect and send out Joe unless they absolutely can’t.

He hasn’t been calling the shots at any point … he was the agreed upon face that the DNC felt could beat Trump
