Since we don't really require citizens or illegals to provide a real ID for free services, maybe it's not too much to ask for them to provide an ID to participate in our democracy?

What purpose does it serve? Looking at the data, illegals aren't trying to vote without the requirement that voters present state-issued photo ID. We're just making life harder for minorities, cripples and the olds.
