Sark offered Mariota really late in the game. The CEOs claim was that Mariota really wanted to play for Sark but he didn't want to back out of the commitment he already made #nebraskafanclassy
 
other way around. Sark offered Mariota right after UO did during the camp season- trying to capitalize on the committment to Oregon by Johnny Manziel. But once Mariota decided to stick with Oregon, the UW offer just kinda vaporized
 
No way Sark pursued Mariota that hard when he had a back door arrangement with Derek Brown. He was his man all along but kept it quiet so other schools wouldn't try to swoop in.

Sark knew all along that Brown was no QB. I never said he wanted him as a QB. Don't twist.
