Best/Worst video games you have played?

I started a season of Super Tecmo as the Oilers on my 700+ game NES. went 12-4 as I lost my last 4 games. For some reason the NES Super Tecmo AI starts calling everything you call. I also lost Warren Moon and had to limp into the playoffs with Cody Carlson. Squeaked by the Seahawks and the Dolphins then somehow crushed Minnesota in the Super Bowl.

The next thing I am going to do is check out the other sport games. First up is basketball.

It's worth mentioning Inscryption. This is a card game wrapped in a horror premise where you're in a cabin with a serial killer that is essentially playing the "game master".

So it's both an escape room and the underlying card game is pretty damn good. My one gripe is that every time you die you create a new card, and if you create a godly one and then draw that on a run, it doesn't feel like you're really kicking ass as much as just cheesing through.

I like how the PS5 controller flashes colors and plays the horror elements directly through the controllers speakers though. Amazing game.

I bought the Gears of War remaster for PS5 for nostalgia purposes since that was one of the biggest games when I was in school. Wasn't into the obsession with Halo/TF2 like the rest of Seattle at the time (although the Left4Dead billboard in the U-District was always pretty cool).

Still a great local coop game and now running at 60-120 fps with graphics touched up to the point where it passes as pretty modern.

And you would risk burning down the house by taking out the 9Volt batteries out of the smoke detectors to play this game! I still have mine. They should have marketed the plug in option aux cord better. Football II was great as well because you could pass. After college, we had Football II lying around and we would play each other. One rule we had was you always had to punt on 4th down. Good times.

As a kid I had Soccer and Soccer II and Basketball and Basketball II.

This was a shitty game. Was fun for about 10 minutes.

This bar I used to frequent back when I went to bars a lot had Pac Man. It used to be a cool cowboy dive and they turned it into some yuppie bar and grill.

I used to play it as a kid in my grandma's bar and other bars in Montana, where they don't GAF if six year olds go into bars. That's my favorite arcade game. Simple.

GTA Vice City is my favorite videya game.

I am not much of a gamer either. I can easily go a couple of years without playing. It's fun for a while, but it gets old after a couple of weeks. Also, you spend like $500 for a system, then what, $75 for a game? Repeat. There are other things I'd rather spend cold, hard cash on.

I was friends with a fair number of nerds growing up so I'd play or watch them play. The fact people actually pay to watch other people play is insane though.

The modern versions of popular Sony games on a PS5 is eye porn with modern day engines but they take way too much of your time.

Alan Wake II is the only AAA game I bothered to finish (like even play over 1/3 of the way through in most cases) and it's mostly because it is 50% a really good movie that is a good take on Twin Peaks.

Watery/Coffee World/the town Lake are just fucking incredible looking shots of a northern Washington town.

Is arcade Asteroids or PAC MAN at Pizza hut before the movie Jaws or Star Wars an option?

If not? I’m out.

Past that, I don’t do “video games”

That’s for crumb eaters and fags….

Video Game memory lane. Here is a game I loved 20 years ago.

Bully by Rockstar. Beating up kids as you rise through the ranks of different cliques, kissing the girls, then fighting the final boss.

Set in the fictional town of Bullworth, the single-player story follows juvenile delinquent student Jimmy Hopkins, who is involuntarily enrolled at Bullworth Academy boarding school for a year, and puts his efforts to rise through the ranks of the school system to stop bullying.

The game is played from a third-person perspective and its open world can be navigated on foot, skateboard, motor scooter, bicycle, or go-kart. Players control Jimmy as he attempts to become more popular among the school's various "cliques", in addition to attending classes and completing various side missions.

Meh. Y’all play video games.

I will bring the organic food to the house.

Just skin, clean and cook it.

We will all be happy.

lol you're misreading things, pod.

I'm going to go watch this movie Hunting Mathew Nichols in the theater and then I bought this new 8 bit 156 MB horror game called Faith that looks badass, which I'll be playing on a ps5.

Beats preschool co-op and pta bullshit which was my alternative tonight.

I hear ya, whatever da fuq you said…

Only games I play are real. I’m not sitting in front of a tv or screen all night and day eating Cheetos and cracker crumbs “playing some game.

The game I play, the adversary in NO way wants to see me. It’s curtains. And we eat.

But you have to understand, y’all live in a tech world. I don’t. And woukd never want to.

My game is, no warning, just gone. And we eat.

This is the kind of “game” I play…it’s NOT imaginary, 3D, on a minion pod with someone else…this is REAL. And something is dying. For REAL.

We eating.

Take it to that "We have to shoot this shit because we don't have salmon, elk, and real mountains and forests" board...
