With the exception of Little Creatures and Brothers In Arms, 1985 is pretty meh for me. But those two records were huge for me in college. Huge I tell ya.

Phil Collins?

He was the drummer in a progressive rock band who went on to great success as a solo artist. A lot of people liked him. I don't, but am trying to be objective.

I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby

I might pick Dire Straits or Talking Heads or even Tears For Fears here; very solid stuff but several '84/'86 backup choices I'd pick first.

Whenever I get around to seeding an best album tournament based on these polls, the weak years likely only see one entry whereas the montser years could see 2 or even 3 bids.

As it should be.

Talking Heads best work was behind them by 85, but the other choices suck.

I don't think its their best work, but I still really enjoy Little Creatures. Their last good album in my opinion. To @dnc 's point, not a strong year though overall. Probably have to take the winner of the year by the auto bid rules and that's it. But that would be a low seed.

Since I couldn't really pick and I'm a little ashamed I forgot about this, I'll go ahead and give my vote to a Seattle product.

Fuck there's some classic 80's hair right there.
Cheers--

Nancy was hot.as.balls in the 80's. Ann was pretty hot too when she wasn't fat.

And Bellevue isn't Seattle, btw.
