I get flipped off a lot. Not because I'm slow, but mostly because I feel a lot of the speed limits are archaic and I just go at speeds I'm comfortable doing. Last night leaving Mariners game I just cruised down in the right lanes passing so many cars driving slow in the left lanes. Washington has a lot of people who think they are left lane drivers and they are not. The number of carpools who drive slow in the left lane, when the carpool lane is virtually empty, might be my most infuriating follow.
North of Seattle / Snohomish is much worse than South King / Pierce. After the completion of the Tacoma I-5 project sitting in horrible traffic in Tacoma is rare, and usually due to an accident. Fucking Snohomish drivers feel the need to slow down at Northgate, county line / 220th. 405 to 128th, and then Boeing freeway all the way to fucking Marysville. South King does have the benefit of having 167 lighten the load, and don't get me started on the retards driving to Bonney Lake. Congestion on city / side streets is also worse in Snohomish. The planners were like, "Fuck multiple east west roads! You will only have 128th and 164th, and you'll pay premium for it."
Lastly people here are afraid of hills and crests. Ship Canal Bridge, Kennydale Hill, the climb to Burien going south. Push down on the accelerator a bit more and maintain that speed.
Biggest Left Lane Offenders:
Old Asians - someone taught them the left lane is where they can drive.
Old Married couples - tend to see this at night.
Single White Women - mostly because they are on their phone.
Uber / Lyft drivers between Seatac and Downtown Seattle
My work servicing glory holes gets me around the area a lot.
