Per the script, Ektard now says we might only take DB in this class so it's not a big deal that we've whiffed on every prospect we've offered. There's no chance this actually happens but they need to provide Harris/Brown some cover right now because the doogs are getting restless.

I’m waiting for the Doogman pod where Fatters defends Harris in a condescending way to Ektard just to oppose a take by Ektard claiming he’s a subpar recruiter.

No chance of that happening. Bookie and McDuffie are gone for sure, Kyler might leave if he has a breakout year. Cook is a senior although he could come back. At least 1-2 couch sales are possible (Asa). We play 5 DBs the majority of the time so I definitely see us taking at least 3 this class.

There was all this talk on dawgman about how it's understandable that Morrison changed his mind because he realized how stacked our db room is. I'm like, what? Who?

We have 3 starters who are likely gone next year if they produce, 3 safeties who have playing time but sucked and then our bench is 3* central.

Why would you worry about dbs when we have a former second stringer from a Cali power program on the roster?
 
Only way this makes sense is if the strategy is to reload leveraging the portal

It doesn’t because it would show a complete re-tardation of a recruitment strategy.

Fair, but portal guys can be developed too. There's a good reason Bookie came here. Guys don't necessarily need 4-5 years to be developed into NFL-caliber players.

I like the portal strategy… if it works. I like any strategy… if it works.

Why change a strategy that’s working? You don’t, they are just no longer able to execute on a strategy that should actually be easier as more guys have been turned into draft picks ergo Terrance and whillip need to kick rocks or play in traffic. Or not, whatever.
