These days I can't tell if this is parody or not.
Yeah, maybe compared to Ohio State a little. I'm old enough to remember murdering them in the 80s and beating a team full of NFL players like Galloway and Lorenzo Styles in '94 though.
We're above Northwestern, Minnesota, Turdue, Indiana, Iowa, SUNJ, Mary's lamb, and most of those fucking schools though. Have fun playing Utah State and New Mexico, pal.

If there's a fiscal crisis at the school then Jay and the legislature should immediately cease state funding of WSU until the regents end the policy of using the general fund to subsidize the AD's losses. Get loser programs off the teet of government!

In all seriousness though, Cougfan is right, this is a fiscal crisis. WSU has insane debts to pay for all of their drunken Bill Moos spending and now their fat Pac-12 revenue check is no longer coming in.
The prudent action is for Inslee to declare the athletic department bankrupt (I neither know nor care if he actually has this power), sever it's ties to the university, and sell the scraps of the AD to the Chinese for parts. WSU athletics is a giant black hole of debt and both the state and the university should rid themselves of that albatross. Kill it and take it out of its misery and let the few remaining cougar fans go pursue more productive hobbies beyond drinking and yelling about how mean and evil UW is.
