Bears were shut down in attempt to trade for Russell Wilson

Supposedly, Bears offered 3-1st rounders, all below pick #20 and two starters with big salaries.

a little different than 5 first rounders

It's all a smokescreen. Schneider and Carroll were interested in Dalton coming out of college. I think they already made a deal with the Bears to send Wilson in exchange for Dalton, a 7th rounder and all the running backs on the Bears roster plus the ghost of Walter Payton.

And a third rounder.

They just didn't have enough ammo. Should have tanked this year and they may have had a shot.

The Hawks may be the first Seattle team not to dump a super star just because he said he was unhappy, allegedly.

Breaking a tradition unlike any other in Seattle sports.

All in all I would rather have kept Kemp and Junior but still

Nothing's changed with Shawn...

That's assuming the Bears win more games with Wilson, which would be likely.

Adams trade totally fucked up this potential Wilson trade. With those Adams picks, the Bears deal is worth taking. You could trade #18 and #23 to move up to pick 5-6. Tank next season and be sitting with your own top ten and something in the 20s plus 2 1st the following year. More than enough ammo to get a top flight qb.

Now you can’t trade Wilson because it’s pointless to tank when you don’t have your own 2022 pick. He gets traded next offseason just for those reasons. 2023 becomes the actual year of the true rebuild.
