Yeah, I would easily take a flyer on Shaw if I was some school with low expectations and he genuinely is interested in fully coaching. Not if I'm a school on the bubble like UW.

We have won more than 10 games five times the past ten seasons. Three PAC 12 titles, two playoff appearances (one natty game) and two other BCS Bowls.

For all the shit talked about the administration we sure seem to win a lot of games and have a lot of good players.

the universe has taken a quantum leap and UW is an attractive environment with a modicum of success but the world view today is the dawgs are yesterdays news with no way back unless they were to hire a top 10 coach that wanted to build for 8-10 years and was supported by massive money to buy the contracts of top players / none of which is happening. We are a team in the top 20-30 range with modest upside / just my opinion of course but that seems like a realistic expectation
