Mark Leibovich, former chief national correspondent for The New York Times Magazine, wrote a column explaining why Democrats would be better served if Biden gave way to younger progressives.
"At the very least, Biden not running would unleash a profusion of youth and energy into the Democratic field," Leibovich wrote in The Atlantic column.
"The non-AARP-card-carrying likes of Pete Buttigieg or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Chris Murphy or whoever it is could stand silently on the soapbox of the Iowa State Fair for five hours, and it would still feel like a refreshing change."

If Trump was willing to push candidates, and draw the heat away from desantis, it would be the smartest political move since the Obama team utilized the urban get out the vote strategy. Unfortunately, like Bob said, Trumps ego will get in the way.

The democrats planted a story this week that Trump plans to announce his run in front of the Florida governor mansion. Its Trumpy enough to be believable but I think its bullshit
My 19% is based on Trump not doing the right thing but I hold out hope
He's far more effective not being front and center. People look back fondly at the policies without him in their face
ON the other hand if someone voted for Biden based on Trump's personality they get what they deserve

Many think the GOP is just sitting on their ass but the soon to be in control GOP House is going to impeach his ass and they should. Cocaine Mitch will try to muster up the best defense of not doing it, but when you pushed Trump out the door and you're getting old as shit, they young guys are going to oust your ass too. Plus old Mitch does not look good these days.
The GOP needs to push fossil fuel and American energy and exceptionalism and shut the fuck up about everything else including impeachment unless they have 65 senators to convict
They will impeach in the House but not the Senate. It's all for posterity and taking him down a notch, but not removal from office.

They're not going to talk about Impeachment during the campaign because it's not necessary. The paperwork is probably already being drafted because his immigration law abuses are enough to go there.
He will not be Impeached by the GOP controlled Senate but there will be a vote. But like Trump, it will always be part of his legacy. That's all we need.
I think Joey is too proud to have that and will walk away. It's too important to him that he's never seen that way historically.
And we have the benefit of DIMS now openly wanting him gone too. They'll give him the hero sendoff.
