the best 3 loss team in the SEC right now is South Carolina, and it isn’t particularly close. I don’t care about head to head 5-6 weeks ago. Right now, South Carolina is better than Alabama, ole miss, and Missouri.

True, the 12 team playoff is his true litmus test.
Bama losing to Oklahoma and Texas beating Georgia exposed the SEC slightly. Saban had been carrying the water and rising tides in that conference for a couple decades.
