I think only the most blind, homer, white trashiest of Ducks would say Cristobal is a better hire than Johnathan Smith. I'd say 90% of the past five years of new hires were superior.
We all know how much Smith sucks too. The Ducks on here aren't half brains at all. They yapped up and slobbered all over sloppy sub .500 Taggart because he got fans prancing and could recruit sizzle. Now lowly Cristobal generates enthusiasm.
It's like Section14a has Duck cousins.

I know this bored loves to insult the rich black man but Sumlin is better than all but 5 coaches in America. He;s won league titles at a Group of 5 and beat Nick Saban twice. UW would fire Petersen today to get Sumlin - @Mosster47

I'd like to find out what was so bad about him that every school passed and Arizona only got him once the Navy coach said no.
I mean yeah he's as mediocre as it gets but I figured he would've got at least one other offer.

Smiff at OSU with Riley holding his hand has 6-6 with some epic battles in El Paso on the horizon.
Mario was at a shit program and got them through the only two seasons their fan base remembers. He has the entire war chest at Oregon and he can pay assistants more than anyone else. The style of play is going to change to more of a physical one. The only one out of these five with a chance to do anything big is Mario because of where he is. That sentence would apply to every coach on that list if they were in Eugene, minus Herm Edwards. What the actual fuck was ASU thinking?
