Seven weeks in and your “4 to 5 week” military adventure not only is not “ahead of schedule”, it has no obvious near term end outside of just abandoning the effort and admitting that there was no realistic plan.

“Forever war” is your term. I don’t care how long we stay at war that’s lawfully commenced, honestly sold and thought out, and which serves our interests. A well conceived war with Iran might have served our interests, but you girls prefer a Daddy/Bibi buddy movie. There is no plan. This is a blunder.

The last war we won definitively was Desert Storm. That lasted 8 months and was generally very popular amongst the US Population.

And at the end we didn’t even get Saddam.

Let’s contrast that to Day 1 of this thing and I have to ask why so much rancor from the usual suspects here?

This isn’t a sprint and a sprint is all we came prepared for. Magical thinking doesn’t win marathons. If you’re saying Daddy secretly planned a marathon then you got conned. It would be better if he has conned you, honestly. But he’s not that clever. He’s just a fool.

Not really sure you can still consider the clock on this forever war ticking at this point. Have we fired a shot in the last two weeks. Just because we have ships in the strait doesn't really mean anything. Hell, we have ships around the world all the time. At best this is halftime and we were technically "at war" for like 4 and a half weeks.

After we take the second half kick off to the house against Iran's freshmen walkons, let's see how much longer it takes.
