Basically what I said about Haener for two seasons before he transferred.

Fudgie has already gone in to "play the backup" mode. Cute.

As has been said a million times, this team is going to win on defense while playing close games. Sirmon tossing 6 int's cannot be overcome in that kind of system. As Lake said after the game, Morris won the job because he didn't make mistakes during camp and he has control of what he's doing. Without a great qb on the roster who can make everyone else better, Morris is the guy who will allow them to play how they're designed to play this season.

This team sucks. I'd rather not watch a QB who does stupid shit along with being crappy.

Yes they did. To Jimmy and teams credit, they played like who they are. No 1st game jitters, etc.

Versus Cal, with 18 starters back (10 on D iirc) and Garbers at Qb who can actually run and throw. It would have been Fugly

That front seven versus Cal would have been a blood bath. OSU probably runs the ball as well as Cal but Garbers would have just killed us. Praise[/s] Allah [/s]

Like I said multiple times before the game, Cal had the worst offseason of any team. They couldn’t practice. They couldn’t do group activity like passing or snapping or tackling. They had to change clothes twice a practice and couldn’t shower until they went home because of protocols.

Even with what we saw last night, UW was beating Cal.
