It should be noted the US Sate Department did NOTHING to protect a US citizen - exercising free speech no less. When asked explicitly about the topic, stated “we are aware” then did nothing.

Lira’s case hits home more insofar he is someone who’s content I consumed long before the UKR conflict.

Not sure what US govt should be more ashamed about - for how it handled both individual’s liberty or the lies, murder, war crimes, and blatant hypocrisy they exposed.
