ASJ might have gained millions of dollars...

disagree, he probably would've pulled a marquess wilson and hurt his stock even more

Often times a soft guy like that just needs a strong father figure to hold him accountable

in all honesty, ASJ has incredible talent and needed a true father figure as a coach. All things considered Petersen with his accountability and the fact that his system fits ASJ more it would've definitely helped him

I like how everyone in this thread thinks they know what's best for someone. Believe it or not, it's possible he would have transferred out of a program that demanded any accountability.

Or been in Peterman's doghouse all year.

I personally believe that either Peterson would have used ASJ so fucking much that ASJ would become a ripped freak from sheer physical exertion required at the role (and he'd go #1 overall in the NFL draft) or Peterson would have spotted the slacker and not recruited him very hard at all... of course I'm no Scott Eklund or Chris Fetters and thus can't evaluate talent so please take my pathetic opinion with a half brain grain of salt.

I'm hearing if you are a hard ass coach you could make a player feel like shit and he'll be afraid to even compete. Just ask Uncle Rico CollegeDoog, he could have been a superstar if it wasn't for his asshole coach always yelling at him.

Who is asshole coach?

Abundance.

Some say the ghost of James Hasty can still be heard running stairs on the north sidelines...

Anecdotally it seems to me that Juniors with high draft stock don't help themselves by coming back for their senior year but in ASJ's case I agree that he could have used a year under Petersen. He didn't make the most of his talent here.

If you're good enough to make a roster, it is rarely better to come back.

Carrol has commented that Kearse was able to slack under Sark, and now that he is a pro he realizes he has to work, so he is working. ASJ sitting on an NFL bench for a year will be miles ahead of ASJ who stars a year for Peterman.

Of course it's possible, dipshits.

Hence the words "might have gained"

You gotta stop attacking other members. Next time there will be no warning and you will just be gone. We are lucky no_uh even post here.

@no_uh - You should lurk around a bit and get a feel for the boards. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM because I have this place dialed in.

you have to give props to Sark for the way he was able to move Jack Lockner from #1 overall to #8 as part of that unbelievable 5 year run.
