The Notre Dame bored is laughing at the idea of Spam Chancellor playing Safety if he was to come to Washington. They say he's way too big to be a safety and that the biggest safety they could think of is Taylor Mays who was 6'3. Oh, it always rains in Seattle, too.

"This one is extremely close and to be honest, I’m surprised I’m making this prediction, but I’m going to go with Notre Dame for Carlsbad (Calif.) high school four-star linebacker Asa Turner.
The reason for my surprise is that for such a long time, it was Washington that was far and away the favorite. Most sources I’ve spoken with maintain that Turner, who has offers from Arizona State, Michigan, Oregon, USC and many others, is heavily considering both Notre Dame and Washington. However, multiple people have stated that his recent trip to South Bend was a “game-changer” and an “eye-opener” for a young man that previously “was unsure about even visiting Notre Dame.” It’s not because he lacked interest, but he didn’t know if he wanted to leave home for South Bend. That, along with the fact that his trip to Washington “didn’t go all that well” according to a source, factors into my decision to roll with the Irish.
Confidence is high inside the Gug and I’m trusting some closely connected sources on this one that believe the Fighting Irish hold an edge heading into decision mode. Turner hasn’t selected a final commitment date or solidified plans for an announcement, but it’s hard not to like Notre Dame right now when multiple sources are hearing that the Irish lead at this point.
Can he get over the distance? Is he going to be able to leave home and head that far away for school? Will he choose to play linebacker for the Irish instead of safety for the Huskies at the next level? Will his relationship with Washington defensive backs coach Jimmy Lake[/b] carry more weight than his connection with Notre Dame defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Clark Lea, as well as special teams coordinator Brian Polian? And if you're coming from a major metropolitan area, South Bend is the definition of a culture shock.
