(Note to mods: not sure where to put this thread, but since it’s related to computing and art, figured the best fit was Yella’s Shoppe. Please move if need be.)

I’ve lately been fascinated with AI and how it’s been generating art. So I logged into one of the sites, DALL-E, to kick the tires of this new technology.

Told the site a few keywords about a few of you and your username and it spit out some funny images. I encourage everyone to give it a try.

Those cabby Bazeys should be smoking cigarettes. At least that was the thing in the 70's & early 80's when I was still in Iran. You couldn't get into a cab without smelling the hot vinyl seats and the baked in smell of cheap cigarettes.

Things might be different now. @tap1thur29weretaken needs to chime in.

Hell yeah. Pretty much every adult male had a cigarette in his hand at all times - shop keepers, construction workers, cab drivers, etc.

Shop keepers took it a step further. They'd set up a hookah in front of the store to pass time. You'd have the shop regulars and the owners' friends drop by any chew the fat over a hookah.

Very few women smoked. The ones who did were usually really old. I'd seen them use cigarette holders.

Sorry to hijack your thread, DDJ. Old habits die hard.

FDR probably left some cigarette holders in Tehran in ‘43.
