Art Briles and my inner Doog

Briles was found "not guilty" of NCAA infractions in August. He is free to sign on with any NCAA institution with no penalty. It will never, ever happen but if this program is financially obligated to retain Jimmy this would be something to reanimate the corpse that is my fandom. UW offers him a squeaky clean athletic department, his AD would be a woman, and his head coach would be, and I say this loosely, a defensive minded coach. The offense would be his show completely. Two or three successful years at UW and someone would snatch him up to run their program. My mind spins imagining Sam Huard pulling the trigger in an Art Briles offense. BRBJO

That said, he will end up as an OC in the SEC because all they want to do is win, Briles is a winner and he doesn't give a fuck about sustainability awards.

I appreciate that but on the other hand if he's okay for the NCAA then he's okay for me. I'm tired of watching offensive dog shit and it would still be Lakes program, Briles just be calling the offense.

Much like using Kwats defense to beat an Air Raid attack you use a committed power running game to neuter Kwats scheme. Good coaches can adjust their styles to beat any given opponent but UW has Pete/Jimmy stubbornly running their "stuff".
