This was my second to Mora. Helluva second. He's got 15 games before I start to spell his name wrong... if needed.
 
Best thing about the Petersen hire is it brings back expectations. I doubt fans will settle for three straight 7-6 seasons with him.
 
Not glamorous, but very, very solid. As much as I wanted Mora, I think Petersen may do better in today's cultural climate at UW.

May become a lot of fun having UW and UCLA compete regularly in conference title games.

Been much fucking everyone on these boards this week, so I say fuck Oregon, fuck Stanford, fuck ASU.

Edit: no need to fuck USC. They fucked themselves.

I would be in the Absolutely camp had he not been bested by Skip Sarkisian for the Retake Montlake Championship.

That being said, had he won that game its possible we would still be with Skip and he would not have wanted this job.

DNCs point from a couple days ago still stands. Owentwelve excuses are gone. Everyone agrees that Sark left UW in good shape. And Peterson having won big before brings expectations.

Yep. It's a splash hire. Woody needed to prove he could make one. Perception matters and the perception outside of this place is that this was a no doubter home run. Seems the perception inside this place, and this includes me, is that it was a double down the line that scored guys from first and third and beat the Yanks. No World Series yet but there's a chance.

From a noob perspective - this seems like a good hire. Before A&M picked up Sumlin the Aggie fan-base thought he would be great there. He qualifies as a "splash" hire given all the other jobs he's passed up. I'm eager to see how he will fare in stiffer competition. Giggity.
 
Yes, I am satisified but I passed up on the absolutely moniker because that would require a Saban-eqsue hire. CCCP is a second tier hire in my eyes, but still above an acceptable threshold. I think he is someone who has a decent shot at being able to get the job done.
