Seriously, what change in the "science" caused this decision?

I thought wearing a mask was patriotic? Is the CDC now calling for people to be unpatriotic?

Just last week Biden was claiming it was your patriotic duty to wear a mask. The data from last week hasn't changed that much.
 
It’s a fluid situation. The CDC was waiting on the Philosophy PHD at the WHO to make a call on this. But when they didn’t advise. The CDC had to come out strong on this. Until next week when it will be revealed that double masking will be the new norm.

The "data" was the polling being done by the WH on Joe's handling of the economy, the border, and the gas issue.

The interim results from the UK study a couple weeks ago were pretty close to the Israeli results published this week. Great to see.
