It's easy to talk shit when you have a systematic doping program to be good at only one sport in the Winter Olympics.

I like Dutch people. At least the ones I've met.
The reason they get all the medals in that sport is because they are the only country that really cares about it. This coach is an idiot though.
 
My favorite was the line about how America is close minded...from the nation that medaled (meddaled? meddled?) in two whole sports at this Olympiad.

If Dan Jansen could corner better than a Scion the US would have dominated both the men and women side of speed skating in the 80's.

This is like people being upset Canada is the superior hockey country. It's basic fucking math they are the best. They are a 1st world country with hockey as their #1 sport which makes them the only country able to financially match their interest. The sad part is the bulk of their players play/train in America.

The rest of the world likes to scoff at the way we handle certain Olympic events and the World Cup, but if we really started caring those things would be obliterated.

Some Dutch kids come all the way from the Netherlands to Boise to play American tackle football because rugby doesn't satisfy their need for full contact. It sounds like someone is a bit envious because Dutch ice isn't Butch enough for the manly sports. What more should anyone expect from an Olympic sport where American participants rely on their pantyhose having the least coefficient of friction on ice.
