It's well documented that Dez's past isn't pretty ...

It's part of making him who he is ...

By most accounts, he's grown as a person in the last few years and has allowed him to be a better player as a result.

Today's society where everybody is "on camera" 24/7 is going to lead to more and more of these kinds of things where mistakes people made in the past come out years down the road.

We all make decisions or act in ways that down the line we realize were wrong, would like to take back, and learn from. Particularly people that have grown up with Dez's background, this is particularly true.
 
Unless he murdered someone, no one would care if this was Dez going something years ago - I think it happened recently, probably after Ray Rice's thing. Schefter and Florio are both reporting they know about it as do league officials. Where there is smoke there is fire. I think it's legit, let's see it already!

The NFL caters to women nowadays. They will probably at least make some token move.

But yeah, I'm tired of hearing about players' personal lives totally outside of their jobs. It's not that relevant unless they're actually in jail.
