Any chance...

He has been ripping the ball all season with not much to show for it. Some of the worst luck I have seen for a hitter. It will even out, he is not a concern for me at all compared to others.

I've never been that much of a lomo fan. But he isn't this bad. He'll probably end up being sn average to slightly below average major league 1B again..
not all that valuable but he isn't going to kill you like smoak would at times

BB rate up
K rate down
BAPIP 50-75 points below where one would expect it to be

55 ABs isn't a huge sample size ... not particularly concerned.

I don't even watch the games and have been saying this since the end of last year. You're in trouble if Morrison is your everyday first baseman.

Whoever plays first is a mute poont

I guess thats my point. I dont care how bad his "luck" has been, 1st basemen in the big leagues drive in runs. Especially hitting behind Cano, Cruz and Seager.

every team has holes. johnny giovatella is starting at 2B for LA.
and while morrison is pretty expendable, he isn't that horrible

Except he is terrible. He's one of the worst everyday players in baseball. Look at his career stats. A 0.9 WAR in five seasons!

How is he not terrible? Bad average, averag power, and he doesn't walk much. And he's not a weak hitting, slick fielding middle infielder or catcher. He's a first baseman.

The offense hasn't been a problem, but running him out there everyday is a joke. There was absolutely nothing to suggest he could become a decent everyday player.

except that war includes 3 seasons in which he was a butcher in the of. He's a league average hitter who's okay at 1B.

He's not going to kill them this year. But if Peterson shows he isn't ready or close to ready for 2016 they probably need to find a replacement

It's now May 9th and morrison is back to being a meh player.
OPS back to .735. I do think the advanced metrics are being a little unfair defensively as I think he's been pretty decent at 1B.
He's not great by any means, not even good really, but he won't kill you like what chris carter is doing to houston right now, or mike morse in miami.
And that's with a .235 BABIP which is going to increase.

No problems with what LoMo is doing so far ... he's way down the list of issues.

Great win last night ... Type of win that could turn things around a bit
