Get ahead of the firing/hiring line by going that route is the best we can hope for. Need to keep whatever talent there is from portaling out by making a new hire before bowl games.

Step 1 - New head coach is hired, all doogs hearts lift and rejoice, the second coming of Don James is here.

Step 2 - the first cracks appear, a few fans who have seen this play out before start to raise the alarm and are inevitably called Nega-doogs.

Step 3 - Program trajectory continues downward. All out doog civil war over if this is the head coaches fault commences, it is bloody, my brothers and I inevitably turn against my ultra doog father in a vicious intra family battle.

Step 4 - HC sucks so bad he kills even the ultra doogs like my father, usually this coincides when with when they get fired.

Now repeat and go to step one. Gawd I love my Dwags.
 
at the college level there's no point in the AD forcing a HC to fire coordinators. in college the HC has total authority. if Donovan is the OC it's because the HC hired him. if the offense sucks then the HC sucks, doesn't matter which side of the ball he came up on.

Firing is the logically correct move here and I fully expect them to not do anything about it so fuck it we unfortunately have not hit the bottom yet but the floor is on fire

They'll do a chinternal investigation and find a history of physical altercations with players.

Jimmy may just resign in the process to prevent said history from getting out.
