What if the announcement has nothing to do with “the punch”?

I hope it’s something like Jimmy Lake has resigned for personal reasons after an incident last night in which the helmet car was involved in multiple DUI hit and runs.

I heard he was with Michael Irvin the other night and tried to punch it in up the middle, but was unsuccessful after multiple attempts.

Fine with him being the interim but keep him away from the search committee. Keep the AD away from the search committee as well.

"I'm handling it fine", says Lake, "just trying to heal emotionally and get our guys attention off of me and on to ASU". AD Cohen has since offered Lake a 2 year extension for his bravery and exemplary leadership.
 
I agree that firing him for The Punch is weak and a bad precedent

It's weak, but don't think it sets precedent unless the next coach also goes full Sark on the sidelines. And in that case, they're the wrong coach for a multitude of reasons.
 
Gotta give the lawyers time to comb through his contract to make sure they cover UW's ass. If this happens, Lake will sue, but I think UW has solid legal footing. Bye bye, Jimmy.

The hope is it's a chindefinite suspension today while they review all that, ultimately leading to his dismissal.

I'm just not sure who I would want to be the interim HC. Adams maybe?

My brother just said he heard from a friend who is a writer at the Athletic that Jimmy is fired. Take that for what it’s worth. Said his friend most likely heard that from Feldman.

So I show up here to watch Hondo get blown up in the Tug, head over here to see how much we lost by, find out Lake went Tyson last night, watch the clip, and I gotta tell you, that wasn't shit. I got hit harder by coaches in Junior High. But, it's 2021 not 1983 so fuck Jimmy and the emotional scarring he caused last night and the only way to move forward as a program is to fire him immediately.

Hopefully Jen is so distraught she has an emotional breakdown and we hire @CrazyLarry to be the interim AD.

Ikaika rather easily. There's no hope of competent coaching this year anyway, at least we know the player's like him
